"Next to the Word of God, music deserves the highest praise. The gift of language combined with the gift of song was given to man that he should proclaim the Word of God through music." - Martin Luther
My two favorite Christmas songs are "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," and "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." Josh Groban's "O Holy Night," however, stops me in my tracks every time. It's glorious. When he says, "Fall on your knees," I almost feel compelled to do so. Just imagine when someday we all will fall on our knees before Him. It will be amazing. Praise God!

"O Holy Night" requires a big voice, and few singers have that. And many of those who do (ahem, Sandi Patty) sing it much bigger than it should be. Groban captures the mood of the song perfectly (sorry - that didn't sound as dorky in my head)
although i don't know why he doesn't sing 'truly He taught us to love one another. His law is love, and His Gospel is peace.' i never noticed that on the radio. hopefully it's just abbreviated here cuz it's live. i'll have to listen harder next time.(i wanted to post the recorded version, but it's not on youtube or anywhere. this is still amazing, though.)
I looked for the recorded version, too, but couldn't find it. Mom has it, doesn't she?
no - it's actually not on his Christmas cd
Now that you mention it, I think I remember looking for it. Why would it not be on his Christmas cd?
i don't know
