i so missed out not having a sibling my age. i never got to see one have to confess to breaking the car. when she called to do so tonight, i was upstairs, leaning over the railing, listening in on my dad's end of the conversation. i so felt like the little sister. luckily for her, he's mellowed out in the twenty years since she was a teen. sadly for me, he wasn't hollering or anything.
Here's how I got off lucky, though. Mom told him about the encounter with the barrel, and he was so worried that it was new-driver Erma who did it (which was very sweet of him), that he was relieved to find out it was me and not her.

I was a little surprised he didn't tell me how stupid I was, although he did ask me how much I'd been drinking.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, the answer is Nothing stronger than a Coke.

Oh, and the dent wasn't huge. It was sizable.
sizable being another word for huge
I thought that was kind of humorous. :)
