boys are so brave

today i was attacked by a mouse. well, not quite, but almost. i was innocently dishing vegetables onto plates at work, when i suddenly felt something fall on my head (no, not the mouse). the ceiling in the dining room sometimes leaks, so i looked up check it out. and there, looking back at me, was a little head and two little front feet. i jumped backwards with a huge gasp, certain i was having a heart attack. my coworkers looked at me like i was nuts, but then the cook looked up, and he saw it, too (and wondered if it was actually a rat). i went running to the front desk to report it, in the hopes that someone would come take care of it right away, but no one did, and actually they said they wouldn't expect someone to come til tomorrow. tomorrow?!
so for the rest of the day, i kept looking up, certain that it would find me and jump onto my head. finally the cook offered to put one of those sticky death tapes up into the ceiling for me. i told him that would be wonderful, and so he did. he waited until i was out of the kitchen, then closed the door and moved the ceiling tile to put the sticky thing up there. it was so nice of him.
thank heaven for boys.

Mice are scary. Good job being brave and not screaming!

I think I need sleep, because I originally read that first sentence as "today i was attacked by a moose"
I still think the mouse was the scarier scenario though.

being attacked by a mouse is definitely scarier than being attacked by a moose
