so we're getting a new ice machine at work. the problem with our current one is that it is too loud and disturbs people, and the administrator doesn't like the location.
so now, instead of having an ice machine next to the coffee machine and by a sink, it is going to be in a different room. a room that is supposed to be locked 60% of the time. new rule states that it is to remain unlocked and we are to hope that no one steals anything.
in addition to this convenient location (by no sink, so you have to go to a different room to get water if you want something to go with your ice), the new machine is older than i am (i'll let you figure out what that comes to). it doesn't have a sensor thing for the ice, but a scoop. a scoop that people handle, then put back in the ice. a scoop that you hope doesn't get dropped on the floor. a scoop that is so big, it just might be easier to reach into the ice and grab the two cubes you want. as in with your hands.
so overall, this is just a brilliant idea. you can tell because the administrator came up with it. or rather, you can tell the administrator came up with it.

You silly - it's not the smart people that get paid less. We little people are dumb. That's why we're the little people. Administrators are brilliant, and that's why they get to come up with the brilliant ideas. And get paid for it.
oh, of course. how foolish of me.
